Why would he go to one of the most politicially opressed places in the modern world for a job? Why the hate on USA? (I'm Swedish btw)

At least Saudi Arabia has been classified as one of the most opressed countries in the world, I wouldn't want to work in a dictatorship...

And just because women can drive means they have equal rights?
This year was the first year ever they let a female athlete compete in the olympics, that is saying pretty much.

My god abdallah I never would have dreamed you would say that. I can show you some very fancy architecture if you would like. Also in America we are equal and have no king above us since we elect our officials. A government by the people for the people. Also Saudi arabia is not doing as well as the USA or any other european country regarding the people and the level of their "freedom". Women gained the right to vote little over 1 year ago which is very sad for a "modernized" country. Also ranked #7 for authoritarian regimes out of 167. On your highways there are roadsigns that keep non muslims from mecca. Not very religious tolerant now are we? I will stop now cause I do not wish to degrade your country any more. Your country is also suffering from extreme terrorism and is still connected with promoting religious extremism in other countries.

By the way my grandfather got to speak to the king of saudi arabia. Pretty cool except for the fact he was suppose to either kill him or protect him from an assassination can't remember but sadly my grandfather passed away last year.
